Ultimate Coliseum is an arena contest involving the Ultimate Heroes you've met: Cloud Strife, Sephiroth, Lightning, Y'shtola, Tidus, Yuna, and Tifa Lockhart. In a new twist, you'll be fighting against them, but you'll also be teaming up with them! The event is part of the Mobius All-Star Battle Extravaganza.

Story[]
Echo pulls Wol into the Infinite Arena. He's not surprised to see her, and easily fits into his old habits with her. She has a special suprise: a battle to end all battles! A contest to decide the best of the best... of the best! Echo has pulled out all the stops. Into the arena steps the others: Cloud, Lightning, Tidus, Yuna, Tifa and Y'shtola. Wol is impressed -- these are all worthy opponents, and he's looking forward to the contest.
But Wol is not the only one entering. Everyone is here! Meia and Sarah join in, hoping to embrace the future. Sophie shows up, looking to make a name for herself. Graff is here, eager to try his skills against the Warrior of Warriors. Even Sephiroth has shown up, for reasons of his own.
First up are the preliminaries. Wol needs to choose a partner. Cloud is handy. Seems like a decent first choice. It's not like they have a friendship, or anything. The Preliminary matches are quickly handled, and both contestants are ready for the main event, suggesting they look forward to knocking each other down a peg in smugness during the finals.
The first round comes through, and Wol makes similarly short work of it by himself. He complains that it feels far too easy, and Echo reminds him that it's just the warm-ups. Wol takes a break, while others try.
- Meia teams up with Yuna! Meia is curious why Yuna wouldn't partner with Tidus, and Yuna tells her that now and then she wants to do her own thing. Yuna also mentions how similar Meia is to Lulu in her demeanor.
- Sarah partners with Lightning! Lightning notes how calm Sarah is during battle, which Sarah attributes to having a confident point woman. Lightning counters that she can feel that confidence while having a trusted ally backing her up.
- Sophie chooses Tifa! Tifa isn't sure about this, but it's obvious she can't easily stop such a strong go-getter as Sophie. Just as well, since Sophie promises to help her find Cloud. When Tifa asks for the new girl's reasons to fight, she admits she feels she needs to do something, but isn't sure what yet.
- Graff allies with Y'shtola! But instead of talking to her, he takes words of encouragement from Tidus, and quizzes Cloud on how he wields such a large sword.
But enough of that. It's time for Wol to take down the main event. The competition is fierce, but Wol is adamant. He emerges with the top Champion's Trophy! Echo asks if he enjoyed himself, and Wol mentions his disappointment that it's over so soon. Echo leaves in a huff, with little protest from Wol. Typical Echo...

Since this is part of the Act 2 world, the revised combat rules are in place, including earlier attacks by enemies and the Mobius Zone. Make sure to set up your sub-job with a good ability set, since the first ability can be used for attacks by your main Job!
In each fight, you get a partner that casts spells and uses their own attacks. These can be a great help, and in some circumstances they can hit harder than you can!
There are 65 areas in total, including 15 Preliminary areas, 16 Tournament areas, 12 Challenge areas, and 12 Treasure areas. There are 16 treasure chests, but 6 of them recharge. This is an arena fight, so you can only visit 5 of the Tournament areas at a time -- the other 11 cannot be visited, but are marked as complete once the Master tournament is finished.

Spaces are broken into four rough groups: The preliminary rounds, the Main Tournament, the Challenge Areas, and the Treasure areas.
Part 1: Preliminaries[]
These are the preliminary rounds. Wol goes first, teaming up with Cloud against regular fiends. After the first Main Tournament win, the lines for Meia (teamed with Yuna) and Sarah (teamed with Lightning) open up. After the second Main Tournament win, the lines for Sophie and Graff open up.
Each line requires the use of the listed character's Job cards. However, this can be overruled by using Ultimate Hero job cards.

Part 2: Main Tournament[]
You and the seven other heroes work alone, fighting against each other in single-round elimination. Who you end up fighting in each round is fairly random, based on the outcomes of the other battles. There are three battles here, from the Prelim to the Final.
There is no stamina cost for each area. Instead, there is an "entry cost" for each attempt, with one battle at each level. If you lose one, you start over at the Ultimate Coliseum area. Costs are:

Once you've completed the Master difficulty of the Main Tournament, these areas open up. The bosses are extremely strong. You get to team up with one of the heroes, and you earn Victory Blazon x30 in each area.
