The Final Fantasy XIII Collaboration Events are a series of two-month-long celebrations of Final Fantasy XIII and its sequels Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII-3, presented as a content crossover with Mobius Final Fantasy. The events take XIII's main character Lightning and sets her in a new adventures with Mobius' main character Wol.
The events stretch across multiple event regions, batches of summoned Heroes and Abilities, new Jobs, and many extra rewards and gifts.
Story Event: Lightning Resurrection[]
Lightning has appeared in Palamecia, as has the Hanging Edge. But she isn't her normal self. She's feels disconnected... as if she's not the real thing. Can Wol help her find her strength and fulfill her part in the Prophecy?

The campaign returns again, but with no further changes.
Lightning Resurrection[]

The story event shows up for two months. Like before, the entire story is available from the first day.

Players get the same prizes on first login as the year before:
- Lightning: FFXIII -- a ★3 Ability Card

Multiplayer Event: Lightning Strikes Twice[]

This repeats the elements from the Lightning Descends multiplayer event of a year ago. Fight Lightning (Sicarius) in ★3, ★4, or ★5 difficulties for prizes, including:
- Custom skills: Painful Break +150% for the FFXIII jobs Knight of Etro, Hope's Guide, Last Hunter, and Unbroken Hero
- Scroll cards for the May 2019 card batches.
- Lightning Sicarius, a ★4+ Card built for Multiplayer use.

Boosted Greater Summon Featuring Vanille!?[]
These cards are added through the Boosted Greater Summon, May 1 - 16, 2019. Each of these cards has a high chance of dropping in the summon, and will appear as fully-enhanced ★4 cards during this time. After the conclusion of the event, these cards will become normal summoned ★3 cards at the normal rate. All of these should be purchasable in the Ability Shop in a few months.
There is also a small chance of gaining a new job:
- Sophie (Monk) Legend Job Stranger to the Mythos.

FFXIII Increased Draw Rate Greater Summon[]

This Greater Summon pack will get a set of six normal cards (no boosts!), plus a seventh card from the previous FFXIII Character cards:
- Serah: FFXIII (with Multiplayer stamp "We'll finish this later.")
- Snow: FFXIII (with Multiplayer stamp "Attack!")
- Hope: FFXIII (with Multiplayer stamp "Hold your ground.")
- Sazh: FFXIII (with Multiplayer stamp "I'll follow you!")
- Vanille: FFXIII (with Multiplayer stamp "I'll attack first!")
- Fang: FFXIII (with Multiplayer stamp "Now! Go!")
In addition, if the summon catches a Legend Job (at the normal 6% rate), it will show up as an 8th card from the FFXIII job set:
The sixth slot can still get a Normal Job Card (8% chance) or a Supreme Card (1% chance).
The eighth slot can also get a Supreme Card (0.8% chance + cumulative bonus) or an Ultimate Hero Job (2% chance)

Collaboration Event: April 2018[]
The campaign makes a return visit, with the areas and prizes re-balanced for current gameplay.
Lightning Resurrection Returns[]
This time around, the event stays open for three months, from April 1 - June 30, 2018.
- New Scroll cards have been added to various areas, including:
- The Crystarium I has been remapped, and many of the prizes have been upgraded. (double seeds/Gil, higher value cactuars, etc)
- Event-specific fiends like the PSICOM Soldiers and the Pantherons remain unchanged, allowing fusion upgrades with the same FFXIII Collaboration cards.
Login Bonuses[]
Like the first cycle, players who log in during these three months get a copy of:
- -- This is an extra ★3 card, with abilities and experience at Lv.1. Players who previously ran the Event will get a new copy suitable for fusion with their existing copy.

- -- This is only for new players, since it's not possible to have multiple weapons.

A new multiplayer event hits the Ring of Braves. Take on Lightning (Sicarius) in ★3, ★4, or ★5 difficulties for prizes, including:

- Scroll cards for the First April Card Batch
- ★4 "Easter Eggs": Heartful Egg, Lucky Egg, Boosting Egg, Mighty Egg, Growing Egg, and Prismatic Egg
- Lightning Sicarius, a ★4+ Card built for Multiplayer use.

Defeat Lightning campaign[]

This was a promotional campaign encouraging people to take on lightning during her first week in multiplayer. Depending on how many times Lightning was defeated, all players received:

This Battle Tower event returns, but with a re-balance: players will NOT use the Paradigm system here, leaving it up to a normal player's buffed-up Abilities to take out Lightning's Shadow (boss).

The original event occurred across a two-month period in Fall 2017. Included were the main Lightning Resurrection story event, promotional activities and card batches, and a Battle Tower using the Paradigm system built up in the story event.

Ranked Event: Lightning's Shadow[]
A Battle Tower of progressively harder levels, open from Sep 23-Oct 1. Play mechanics will make use of the Paradigm mechanics introduced in the Collaboration Regions, built up in the Crystarium I and Crystarium II regions.
