Quintessential Warriors is the Ranked battle tower event for August 2019. This is a multi-tower event, like the All-Star Revival Tower contests.

How to Participate[]
- Select Quintessential Warriors from the Act 2 world map. You can find it as its own red spot.
- This event is only accessible after a player clears the Runic Temple in Chapter 1
Story[]
Wol comes up to the Tower of Trials to find... himself. Again. More shadows appear of Wol, which means that the real Wol will need to beat them down to prove who's the real one. Again.
Wol is definitely getting tired of so many shadows, and he complains about it to the person pulling the strings: Moggy! He suggests that Moggy go beat up on himself for a while, but Moggy reminds him that Moogles can't fight. (sigh.) The beatings will continue, then.
The cutscene is a repeat from I vs. I, but the dialog afterward is new.

There are five different towers, with two areas each, offering different bosses -- and a different restriction -- on each tower.
Players can choose to teleport to or "climb" the towers in any order, but cannot revisit areas that have already been defeated. (except for the immediately previous area as a teleport spot, but this area will not have the boss foe)
Each tower then concludes with its own infinitely looping "Phantasmic Coil" area. For first four towers this is a set of 3 areas that repeat in an infinite loop, also with an increasing difficulty with each area finished. On these levels, a Prize of 
Ability Ticket x5 is handed out for each loop completed.
When starting the Phantasmic Loop, you are offered three spaces. These are shortcuts that will allow the better players to skip ahead to the high-difficulty loops without needing to slog through the lower-level stuff.
- Beginner starts you at Loop 1 -- with no skip-ahead.
- Intermediate starts you at Loop 5 -- 12 kills awarded.
- Advanced starts you at Loop 10 -- 27 kills awarded.
There are 49 total areas across 5 towers, with 10 treasure chests. Since the last treasure chest in each tower (in the Phantasmic Coils) automatically regenerate, the region can technically never be completed.

Tower 5: Warriors of Light[]
To unlock this tower you need to clear Combatants' Ragnarok area.
This tower features battles against the Dawn Warrior Ultimate Hero. There is no job restriction on this tower.
"Phantasmic Coil" for this tower is different from the four previous. This is a set of 5 areas that repeat in an infinite loop, also with an increasing difficulty with each area finished. On these levels, a Prize of Ability Ticket x5 is handed out for each loop completed.
Shortcuts for this tower are slightly different:
- Beginner starts you at Loop 1 -- with no skip-ahead.
- Intermediate starts you at Loop 3 -- 10 kills awarded.
- Advanced starts you at Loop 6 -- 25 kills awarded.
