New Year's in Palamecia is the celebration of the New Year for Mobius Final Fantasy. The region includes gifts from Chocobos and Moogles, free Card Summons, and a chance for large amounts of Magicite.

Story[]

2018:
Celebrations for Christmas: Messengers of Hope have ended, but we're not done here! Meia conjures a shower of fireworks and New Year's revelers, who all declare a Happy New Year for 2018! Meia and Echo are particularly excited to celebrate Wol just before they send him off... to fight more fiends, of course. Wol questions if they mean for him not to come back...

2019:
Echo is reflecting back on the last year. What a time it's been! A new story is beginning now. There are new friends to meet. Sarah is freed from the System of Palamecia. Meia is freed from her doom of Heresy. Everything has changed.

And Wol? How has he changed? Echo smiles and jokes he's more dour than before! Wol is saddened, slightly, that Echo is no longer around, but she quips that faeries can change, too. Nonethless, she remembers what Wol promised -- no more laws -- and she'll be waiting for him. Wol reiterates that promise.

	~ World Map Description

Each day a New Dawn Ticket is dropped in your gift box (up to 8 total). Use these to unlock the path to Fortune's Gate. Fight a set of enemies at each step. (Don't worry, none of them actually attack you. They're festive!)

If you encounter nothing special, you follow the path to the right.
If you encounter a Silver Chocobo, it will drop a Silver Badge. This will let you unlock a step up the mountain. If you're lucky, you can open a path all the way to the Shrine of Great Fortune, with a final reward of 2x New Year's Free Summons. If not, you end at one of the lesser Shrines, with other prizes and a 1x New Year's Free Summon.
In rare cases, you will find a Gold Chocobo, which will drop a Gold Badge. This unlocks the Path of Miracles, and leads straight to the top of the mountain. As a bonus, it gives the collective prizes for all of the Paths and Shrines combined.
If you reach the top of the mountain, you also unlock an extra path offering a chance at large amounts of Magicite.

New Year's Free Summons are usable as a special Card Summon until Jan 17.

There are 18 areas in total, including 14 treasure chests. You get 8 runs through the region, but only visit a few areas on each run.
