Ability card

An ability card (also known as card) is a card that is assigned an ability, some extra skills and auto-abilities, and creates skillseeds post-battle.

Players may equip up to four ability cards per deck, and may choose another player's rental card in permitted areas. These will determine the abilities they have access to during battle.

Types[edit | edit source]

Ability cards are categorized into two major types:

Exceptions: PuPu cards are fiend drops that can be obtained in the Ability Shop.

Card level[edit | edit source]

Displayed to the top-right corner of the ability card and its thumbnail.

A player may equip up to four ability cards in a deck. The sum of equipped cards' level determines the deck's level, which in turn determines the deck's base attributes (HP, Attack, Break Power, and Magic).

The maximum card level of an ability card is determined by its rarity (★), and completion of specific story regions.

Ability level[edit | edit source]

Displayed to the right side of the ability name, the ability level (Lv.) determines the damage dealt to the enemy's HP and Break gauge, and eligibility of unlocking extra skills. Ability level is increased by fusing with ability cards of the same kind. Maximum ability level is increased by Card Augmentation.

★5 10 6

Ability cards without an ability are mainly material cards and egg cards.

Extra skill[edit | edit source]

Extra skills are the skills that appear as small square icons under the ability's stats. Not to be confused with auto-abilities, which are unlocked with fractals and appear on the second page in a list. Extra skills are counted as part of the card effect and are active even during rental; auto-abilities are bonus effects that are not active during rental.

The extra skills has 3 states:

  • Blacked out — This means the requirement for unlocking the skill has not been met. The skill is inactive and can not be unlocked. You need to raise the ability to the required level before any usage is counted towards the unlock. Even using Extranger will not unlock it.
  • Grayed out — This means the skill is inactive but can be unlocked through usage. Continue to use the ability in battle to unlock it. Using an Extranger will unlock the next skill immediately. Multiple skills are always unlocked one at a time, from left to right.
  • Lit up — This means the skill is active and nothing more needs to be done.

Make sure that the ability level requirement is met before trying to unlock it.

Ability cards that do not have extra skills are mainly scrolls and cards without an ability.

Skillseed[edit | edit source]

Non-material ability cards have skillseed "nodes" that determine the number and type of skillseeds a player is rewarded at the end of battle. Each node gives 1 skillseed, and may be unlocked to give more. Ability cards may create up to two elements of skillseeds.

Rarity Node count Seeds per unlocked node Total skillseeds

★2 5 3 15
★3 6 4 24
★4 7 4 28
★5 8 7 56
